IWE-Events in the Past
One of the central targets of the IWE is to foster an intensive dialogue on the ethical questions of Biomedicine, Science and Technology.
For this purpose a series of public lectures under the title "Forum Science and Ethics" (Bonn) resp. "Science and Ethics" (Essen) is conducted at the University of Bonn and the University of Duisburg-Essen since 1995. Guest speakers from a variety of disciplines are invited.
Besides this the IWE organizes expert symposiums and public conferences promoting the scientific and societal discussion concerning ethical questions of Biomedicine, Science and Technology.
